With a passion for entertainment that started at early age, here we are today. Ruth T. Paul, former Singer, Actress, Dancer and On-Air Radio personality, has worked the trenches and the forefront of the Entertainment Industry. Performing with a family group called “Chocolate Ice” in the 1970’s, a Midwest show-band, and leaping into the world of Hollywood Entertainment through the doors of The Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center School of the Arts. This is where the passion turned into a career, with theatrical performances with the likes of Glenn Turman, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Lawrence Fishburne and, Lynn Whitfield. Studying Acting with the likes of, Bea Richards and George C. Wolfe to name a few. Studio appearances, with the man himself, Stevie Wonder and Eddie Murphy. And then there was radio working with the infamous Jim Frazier and Homer Blow at WNOV 860 Radio( Milwaukee, Wisconsin), as the host of a R&B radio show called ”Major Rhythms with Cocoa Leggins”. The radio adventure was a lesson in its self. Learning the day to day operations and sales under the direction of Newspaper and Radio Station owner, Gerald Jones

The learning never stopped. And that is what’s been the premises for her most rewarding career to date. Business Representative, for the Screen Actors Guild - South Region, under the keen direction of Leslie Krensky, South Region Director.  Ruth first joined the staff of the Screen Actors Guild, in 1997
in the Hollywood, Screen Actors Guild office, as an Executive Assistant. For 5 years Ruth provided assistance to the Theatrical Contracts Department –Special Projects Department. In the winter of 2002, Ruth relocated to the Midwest and continued working in the Industry as Business Representative of the Chicago- AFTRA/SAG office. In February 2006, her path led her to the Screen Actors Guild-South Region as liaison between Producers and Performers in the South Region.
